A dog named Spot!

It started yesterday with just a few spots on Henry's legs. Elizabeth gave him some Benadryl, which helped a little bit. This morning we woke up to this:

When Henry got mad at Maxi a little later and fake-bit him, Maxi was convinced that Henry was turning into a dog. We're not sure if part of him was concerned about his brother or more excited about the prospect of getting a dog named "Spot"...

Needless to say we were quite worried and Elizabeth took him this morning to see his pediatrician. Come to find out he is allergic to Penicillin! Sophie, Henry and Alex have all been on antibiotics for the past 10 days for their strep-throat. Now we'll have to give him Benadryl three times a day for the next 3-4 days and today he already napped for two drug-induced hours. That would make for a great break for Elizabeth if it weren't for three more silly kids running amok!

PS: Can you tell who's been giving his Daddy an attitude for the last two days?

It even makes the sick smile!

I had to stay home with Sophie and Alex today. Sophie has strep throat and Alex a nasty cold. Alex absolutely loved the site and just couldn't get enough of the short video clips of Elmo, Buzz, and others. He had a big smile the whole time.

"Totlol is a brand new community-moderated video website designed to be enjoyed by those between the ages of 6 months and 6 years."

Interestingly enough, I think the worst for Sophie was that she didn't get to hug and kiss on Alex for the last day. She just loves her baby brother, although around noon she was wondering if Elizabeth and the twins would be coming home soon. Funny girl!

The boys started it!

Henry was the first one to get sick. At first he had the pink eye, then a cold, which turned into a cough within a few days. Max caught it, I caught it, then Sophie and lastly Elizabeth. You can probably imagine that the last week or so wasn't a whole lot of fun at our house. We even stayed home from church on Sunday.

Sophie still enjoys her daily swimming lessons. I haven't been able to see her since the first day of her lessons, but Elizabeth says Sophie has made a lot of progress.

Elizabeth takes Sophie to her lessons every morning along with the boys. She told me the boys, especially Max love to flirt and smile at the other mothers there.
