Wow, what a day!
We went to see the parade in the morning. We had been told people get there as early as 8:00am, with the parade starting at 9:00am.
We showed up right around 9:00am, that is Sophie, Angle, Ben, Mia and I.
Golf-cart galore!
When they talk about Peachtree City being the golf cart capitol of the World, they really mean it. We saw golf carts everywhere, lining the streets up and down, easily outnumbering cars.
The parade was a lot of fun, although it was VERY muggy. We left early, to beat the crowd, but also to get a breeze going, whilst cruising back to the house on our golf cart.
We had lots of family over, almost all of Sophie's cousins joined us for the day. We ate delicious barbecue, hot dogs and burgers.
After the boys went to bed, the rest of us went to the Aberdeen Country Club and parked on the golf course to watch the fireworks. They lasted a good 20 minutes and were fantastic!
