Quite a neat story about President Monson that I ran across through a comment on a family members blog. It reminded me a little bit of my Opa, who would always take time to talk to the little kids when they entered the Chapel and carry candy in his coat pockets just for them. President Monson's reply that he always stands in line made me smile and appreciate his humility.
Here are
two more stories testifying of his character, his intellect, his spirit and his humor, but most of all his humility in bowing to what the Lord wants him to do.
As much as I will miss President Hinckley, I also am looking forward to President Monson's leadership, but what I really want to know is what kind of delicious candy he hides in his pockets!
Thanks for sharing the links to those powerful stories. I was touched by his quiet acts of personal service.
