Since we have been asked about Sassy several times, I thought I would update everybody.We took her with the understanding that we would have a two week trial since we had not been dog owners before. After only four days, I realized the children were just too young. If I were a more laid back person it might not have been an issue, but I was constantly worried they would hurt her unintentionally.
We had her for only week, she was a great dog. Herb and the boys miss her a lot. I think they miss the walks most. I took her one day and it was enjoyable, I have to say it was a great workout.
Being part greyhound, she was fast. Herb took her with a golf cart a few times and even said he could tell she would have been able to go faster. Two days after we gave her back, she already had a family who wanted to adopt her. Maybe in a few years, we will find another great dog like Sassy.
That is why we haven't gotten a dog yet too. Plus, I would be the one who has to take care of it. Glad she is wanted though!
ReplyDeletebrandon tells us, "I want a dog somedays." he's right on. somedays we would want one and somedays we wouldn't. we have no yard and we're filling our house with kids...maybe one day....
